The Fragment Selection panel with the Saturated Cyclic category displayed.

Saturated Cyclic is a category of fragments that can be added to a ligand in a Foldit small molecule design puzzle using the Fragment Selection panel.

In the saturated cyclic category, the ring atoms have multiple hydrogen atoms attached, making them "saturated". The ring atoms are joined with single bonds.

In constrast, the bonding of the ring atoms in Unsaturated Cyclic fragments mean there are fewer attached hydrogen atoms. The ring atoms are shown as having double bonds in some cases.

The saturated cyclic fragments are listed below in the order they appear on the fragment selection panel. The links go to the corresponding wikipedia or PubChem pages.

See the Saturated Cyclic gallery for ball-and-stick models of the saturated cyclics available in the Fragment Selection tool.
