The puzzle protein is from rice, and is a "nonspecific lipid transfer protein", known as nsLTP2. Nonspecific lipid transfer proteins nsLTP1 and nsLTP2 are common in plants, and act as an allergen. The allergic reactions caused by these proteins can be severe, even fatal.
