ORF6 in Foldit refers to a protein found in the coronavirus known as COVID-19.
ORF6 was originally identified as an ORF, an "open reading frame", in the RNA sequence of related coronaviruses. Subsequent research has indicated that ORF6 in active in the process of viral replication, but the 3D structure of the protein is not known.
