Ferredog Diesel 01

Ferredog-Diesel is the second solved Foldit design, originally created by tokens in Puzzle 1313.

The "ferredog" part of the name is a play on the ferredoxin fold found in nature and the surfing hotdogs design seen in many Foldit design puzzles. Tokens' protein combines certain features of both folds. It's not immediately clear what the "diesel" part of the name refers to.

Ferredog-Diesel is one of the four solved designs mentioned in the Foldit protein design paper in 2019.

The protein appears in the PDB as 6NUK.
